Pakistan’s hockey team has not performed well in the last few years, at the beginning of this year, Hockey World League in London was seventh in the semi-finals.

Major changes took place in the Pakistan Hockey Federation, which was appointed as President, appointed by Brig Khalid Khokhar and former Hockey legend Shahbaz Ahmed as General Secretary.

Even though Pakistan is already eligible for the 2018 hockey World Cup to be held in India, PHF has also brought changes in the management and selection committee.

Pakistan will be favorites in the tournament because it is the second most popular champion in the history of Asia Cup, with all three victories in South Korea, who have won four prestigious titles.
