Wrestler Kavita Devi becomes the first Indian woman to appear in WWE

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) announced on Thursday that Kavita Devi, the former competing powerwoman and gold medalist of South Asian Games, has been selected to compete in the Young Classic, which is the first WWE tournament for women.

The poem of Haryana has brought training to be a professional wrestler under the guidance of former WWE Champion ‘The Great Khali’ in its Punjab wrestling promotion and training academy.

Poetry participated in WWE Dubai in early April this year in which she attracted the attention of talent scout with her strong performance. Now, poetry will be making history as the first Indian woman to appear for the first time in WWE. She will compete with 31 other top female contestants from all over the world in the first My Young Classic.

Commenting on the development, a poem said, “I am honored to be the first Indian woman to compete in the first women’s tournament in WWE. I use this platform to inspire other Indian women with their performances and pride India. I hope to do it. ”

The first Mei Young Classic will be held in Full Cell Live in Orlando, Florida from July 13-14.

The Vice President of WWE Talent Development, Canon Saiman said, “Kavita Devi has a strong performance in the 2017 Dubai trilogy of WWE, she is an athletic and extremely strong woman who shows a solid understanding of the basic principles of sports entertainment, and to improve It’s a passion that will serve well in the IG Classic Tournament in the forthcoming WWE. ”

Tournament, named after the WWE Hall of Fameer and one of the greatest WWE Superstars in history, May Young will feature 32 top female rivals from around the world participating in a single elimination tournament.
